Pureco Stain & Glaze – Water-Based Timber Stain and Paint Glaze with Built-In Matte Topcoat
Enhance the natural beauty of your timber projects with Pureco Stain & Glaze! This water-based, easy-to-use stain and glaze provides a beautiful matte finish that enhances both raw timber and painted surfaces. Whether you’re looking to add depth & character to your painted finish or add some colour to your timber Pureco Stain & Glaze has you covered.
Umber has been created to replicate old timber finishes, it has a rich, warm tone with a subtle redness to it.
Glaze Application
Pureco Stain & Glaze is versatile and can be used over Chalk Finish, Silk Finish, or Milk Paint for a professional, custom look. To apply, simply brush or wipe the glaze over your painted surface, then gently remove any excess with a clean, lightly damp cloth. For an even, streak-free finish on flat surfaces, try wiping in different directions or circular motions.
To apply to intricate detailing I recommend our Oval 25mm (O25) Paint Brush or a Mont Marte Gallery Paint Brush .
Stain Application
For raw timber projects, Pureco Stain & Glaze delivers an even, smooth finish that brings out the wood’s natural character. Make sure the surface is clean and dust-free before applying. Wipe the stain in the direction of the wood grain from edge to edge, lightly spraying the surface or your sponge to keep the stain workable. Use a sponge applicator for the best results on timber and flat surfaces.
Buildable Coverage for Custom Finishes
Pureco Stain & Glaze is translucent, allowing you to build up layers to reach your desired opacity. Experiment with multiple colors to create unique, layered finishes and depth.
Note: Every piece of timber is unique, so results may vary. Check out our product photos to see the range of finishes you can achieve with Pureco Stain & Glaze.
