Description
This absolutely stunning kitchen dresser has been restored keeping her original beauty & patina. The stunning timber has been freshened up with Pureco Hemp Finishing Oil. Inside both cupboards have been painted with Pureco Silk Finish - Fossil , the drawers have also been freshened up with Pureco Silk Finish Vineyard pulling for the stunning green glass.
Although restored this piece has many signs of wear throughout and the restoration I would consider to be only a partial, the timber was in great shape & just needed some rehydration, therefore it has not been sanded back. I have only painted the internals as the original blue paint was beyond repair.
Featuring absolutely stunning coloured headlight glass that is in great condition for its age, only one pane has a small hairline crack which hasn’t affected the integrity of the glass in any way.
Both sliding doors slide beautifully, as do the drawers. The drawer handles have been lightly polished keeping the rusted patina. The original hinges & catches on the bottom doors are functional but are not in amazing condition and the latches may eventually need replacing, unfortunately this style of latch is hard to come by
And while they are functioning well for the time being I have chosen not to replace.
Please note this piece must be viewed prior to purchase/delivery.
It’s rare to find one of these early Australian pieces in such good condition.
