Autentico Driftwood is part of the creative powder range and consists of a powder that when mixed with any of the Autentico Vintage paint range it will create stunning craters of paint leaving a very special finish.
Paint the surface with Autentico Vintage. This can be the same or the opposite colour to the next layer.
Allow to dry.
Mix 1 part DRIFTWOOD to 1 part of Autentico Vintage. You can add water if the mixture is too thick. Paint the mixture on to the surface and let dry. Optional: Allow the finish to begin drying and then take a palette knife and trowel over the surface smoothing out brushstrokes and adding layers, low points and peaks - see the photos of the orange pot for this finish.
Sand down high peaks if needed. Let dry for 24 hours.
The result will be a truly unique stone finish. Use your imagination to create cool patches of different colours. DRIFTWOOD is great to use to create a textured stone finish prior to the application of other techniques.
Remember to seal your finish as chalk paint is porous, I recommend using wax or hemp finishing oil for a natural & durable finish.
